Terms of service.
Last updated: September 9, 2026
What changed: from this date the service is a one-time design-and-launch fee with the first year of hosting included, and an annual hosting renewal after that. The monthly Continuous improvement plan and its hosting-only floor are no longer offered to new clients. Clients who signed up under the previous terms keep the version they agreed to, and nothing about their billing changes because of this page.
These terms govern the service that WeMadeYourSite.com (“we,” “us,” “WeMadeYourSite.com”) provides to businesses in the United States (“you,” “the client”). By hiring the service — paying the amount to start, or by using wemadeyoursite.com — you agree to these terms.
1. What the service includes
Before you hire us, we build a free working preview of your home page — your trade, your town, your words — at a private link. It is not a mockup or an image: it is a real page, so you judge the real thing rather than a promise. It is also not the finished website: it shows the design, the words and the feel of your home page.
We talk to you before we build it. When you send the form you choose how: a few questions by email, or a video call. Choosing the video call does not book an appointment — we write to you and agree a day and time. During our business hours we aim to reply within a few hours; our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am–7 pm US Eastern, and a request that arrives outside them is answered when we are next open. That is a target for our first reply, not a delivery date for the preview. The date of your preview is agreed with you after that conversation, once we have what we need to build something worth looking at. We do not promise a preview date before it.
If you approve the preview, we design and publish your complete custom website, connected to your domain (which you register in your own name), with hosting, an HTTPS/SSL security certificate, and initial search-engine setup. Your site goes live within 3 business days of us receiving your material (logo, photos, text), and payment is due the day it goes live — not before.
Included in the one-time fee: up to 5 pages and 2 rounds of changes before launch (further pages or later changes are optional work, quoted separately); custom design; help writing your copy; professional retouching of the photos you send; testing for speed, mobile layout and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility before launch; search-engine setup; your admin panel so you can update prices, photos and text yourself; the site in English, in Spanish or in both; guided domain setup; and your first 12 months of hosting, counted from the day your site goes live.
Not included, and quoted separately if you want them: content changes and new pages after launch, a redesign, SEO campaigns, Google Business Profile management, an online store, bookings, custom or third-party integrations, mailboxes on your domain, paid software subscriptions, and your domain renewal. There is no mandatory monthly service plan, and we never start optional work without a quote you have agreed to.
We do not guarantee any specific Google ranking, review count, traffic, or sales. Those depend on factors outside our control.
2. Price and payment
The price is fixed, with no hidden costs and no discounts of any kind:
- Design and launch: $995, one time. Charged on the day your approved site goes live. It includes everything listed in Section 1, and your first 12 months of hosting, counted from that day. Your domain is purchased separately, in your own name — see Section 3.
- Hosting from month 13: $180 a year, billed annually. This is not a monthly charge and it is not a service plan. It covers hosting, your HTTPS/SSL certificate, backups of your site, and support from us for problems with the hosting itself.
- Optional work is quoted separately. Nothing recurring is added to your account without your agreement, and you are never enrolled in a monthly plan automatically.
Sales tax is added where your state requires it. There is no setup fee and no cancellation fee. What happens if a hosting renewal is not paid, and what happens if you choose not to renew, is detailed in our Cancellation and renewal policy, which is part of these terms.
3. What is yours, and what is a hosted service
Your domain is yours, from day one. You purchase and pay for it directly, in your own name, and you renew it yourself in your own account — we tell you how, and we connect it to your site at no extra cost. Your domain never passes through our hands: we don’t register it, we don’t administer it, and we cannot hold on to it. It is not part of the $995 or the $180.
The photos, text, and logo you give us remain your property at all times. You can ask us for them back at any point and we will send them to you.
Your website runs as a hosted service, and you can ask us for the files. While your hosting is current, your site runs on our platform. If you have paid for your site and you ask us, we will send you a copy of what we built for you, at no charge:
- What travels: a copy of your site as delivered, together with your images, your text and your logo.
- What has to be set up again: the contact form. It sends through our server, so on another host it has to be reconnected to whatever that host provides. The same goes for anything that depends on our platform.
- What is not ours to hand over: third-party software and any separately licensed service.
We hand over the files. We do not migrate the site for you, and we do not promise it will work unchanged on any given host — that depends on the host you pick. If moving your site later matters to you, ask before you buy and we will tell you exactly what you would get.
Your admin panel is part of the content management system your website runs on, and it comes with your site. Moving your site to another host is not included in the one-time fee, and we do not promise it will work unchanged on any given host.
4. Your responsibilities
- Give us information and material (photos, text, logo) that belong to you or that you have the right to use.
- Purchase and renew your domain directly, in your own name and in your own account (we’ll show you how).
- Pay the one-time design-and-launch fee on the day your site goes live, and the annual hosting renewal if you choose to renew.
- Use the site and its content in line with applicable law.
5. Our responsibilities
We publish your site within the agreed timeframe after you approve your preview and send your material, keep the hosting platform running, patched and secure for as long as your site is hosted with us, and provide reasonable support for hosting problems. We don’t guarantee specific business outcomes (sales, exact search rankings) or 100% uptime — we work with reputable hosting providers, but no infrastructure is free of the occasional outage.
Support for hosting problems is not the same as ongoing work on your site. Changes to your content, new features and marketing work are optional services under Section 1, quoted separately.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects your service, we’ll let you know by email or phone with reasonable notice. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable United States law.
