Patios, gardens and lawns, built to last.
Design-build landscaping for homes across Merrow County. Free on-site estimates, and a price in writing before any work begins.
One crew, from the first drawing to the last plant watered in.
We design and build outdoor spaces ourselves. The people who draw your patio are the people who set the stone, plant the beds and come back to look after them. Nothing is handed off, so nothing gets lost between the plan and the ground.
- Design and construction by the same crew
- A price you see in writing before work starts
- Maintenance plans for the gardens we build
What we do
Most yards need three or four of these at once. We plan them together, so the ground is opened once and every piece fits the next.
Patios and walkways
Bluestone, flagstone and clay pavers, set on a compacted base built to drain.
Walls, steps and grading
Retaining walls and terraces that turn a slope into usable ground, with drainage behind every one.
Planting and gardens
Trees, shrubs and perennials chosen for your light and soil, planted to fill in and stay put.
Lawn care
Weekly mowing and edging, plus aeration, overseeding and feeding on a schedule set by your soil.
Outdoor lighting
Low-voltage path lights and uplighting, laid out with you at night, so you can use the yard after dark.
Seasonal care
Spring cleanups, autumn cutback and mulching, so every bed starts the season from a clean edge.
Recent work
A few of the yards we have designed and built, and what each one needed.
A patio built for evenings
A sloping back lawn nobody used, rebuilt as a level bluestone terrace with a fieldstone fire pit, a seating wall and low lighting.
A front walk that leads somewhere
The old path ran to the driveway instead of the door. Widened, re-routed and planted so the house finally has an entrance.
Two terraces from one slope
Topsoil used to wash to the street every spring. Two dry-stacked walls now hold the grade, and the planting above them holds the walls.
These projects are illustrative concepts created for this design demonstration, not records of completed work.
What makes a patio last
Two patios can look the same on the day they are finished. What decides how they look in ten years is underneath.
Base
Excavated to depth and compacted in layers, never scraped flat and covered.
Drainage
Every surface is pitched to shed water, and every wall has gravel and a drain behind it.
Stone
Full-thickness natural stone, hand-fitted with tight joints and an edge restraint so nothing walks.
Planting
Amended soil, plants sized to mature in place, and a watering plan for the first season.
How a project runs
You decide at every step, and you always know the price before the next one starts.
Site visit and estimate
We walk the property with you: where the water goes after a storm, which windows you look out of, what you have already tried. The visit is free and takes about an hour.
Design and written scope
A drawing of the layout and a line-by-line scope with materials named and priced, so you can see what is stone, what is labor, and what you could leave for later.
Build
Grading and drainage first, then base, then stone, then soil and plants. Our own crew, in that order, so nothing is opened twice.
Handover and care
We walk you through the watering for the first season and, if you want us to, come back to keep the beds, the lawn and the stone the way they were on the last day.
Questions we hear before an estimate
How long does an estimate take?
Do you charge for the design?
When is the best time to plant?
Can you work with the plants I already have?
Do you maintain yards you did not build?
Request an estimate
Tell us about the yard and what you would like it to do. We will write back to arrange a visit, walk the property with you, and follow up with a plan and a price.
You do not need to know what you want built. Most projects start with a problem: water in the wrong place, a slope nobody uses, a front walk that leads to the driveway.
Nothing was sent.
On a real site, this is where the company would confirm your request and write back to arrange a visit. This page is a design demonstration, so the form has no destination and what you typed has already been cleared.
